ABOUT ME
I am a first year student at DePaul University pursuing a B.F.A. in Film and Television Production with a concentration in cinematography. I have always been interested in technology, and that interest brought me into the world of filmmaking in high school. Inspired by storytellers such as Casey Neistat, Dan Mace, and Yes Theory, filmmaking became a meaningful way of connection and understanding through storytelling.
Throughout high school, I created several films in various roles both in the classroom and independently. I began my first internship with the Walpole Media Corporation during my Sophomore year where I learned how to edit on Adobe Premiere Pro by producing my own news packages for the television station. Through my high school's film festival, I produced and directed several short films and documentaries.
One of the most rewarding projects I have worked on was a documentary titled Potable—a short documentary highlighting the work of a non-profit engineering organization's work to allow for basic human needs to be met in the developing world. This project solidified my passion for filmmaking as a way to both discover and learn about humanity while creating a positive impact on others in the process. I believe have succeeded as a filmmaker if I have moved my audience emotionally or if I have left the world a better place.
